About
Aya Kharboutli is a multidisciplinary artist working across printmaking, installation, and visual storytelling.
Her practice explores questions of identity, displacement, and language, drawing from personal and collective experiences shaped by conflict, migration, and social transformation.
Through traditional printing techniques alongside experimental and socially engaged approaches, she investigates how images, words, and public space can function as tools of memory, resistance, and dialogue.
Currently based in Asker, Norway, Kharboutli develops projects that bridge personal narratives with broader social and political contexts.
She is currently an ICORN/FriBy resident artist (2025–2026).
